1st Grade

Really?!?! We put our big guy on the bus! He was so excited that this year we told him he could ride. I took him last year for kindergarten. He had a fabulous day. He wanted to pack his lunch instead of eating at school. That is probably a good idea since he is so picky. I weighed him last night, 62 lbs. I had to read the scale twice. And even then, didn't think it was accurate. He is getting so big so fast. He seems to love his class and his teacher, Mrs. Clark. And of course it helps his bff Kristian is in there as well.

Hopefully with him being at school and Taylor and Tyson having an afternoon nap at the same time, I can keep up on blogging.

Baby Tyson 1 Month Update

I took Tyson in on the 2nd, for his 1 month check up. His weight is up to 9lbs. 13oz.! I was ecstatic! He is doing great. I think he is actually smiling...and no, not because of gas! He sleeps well, as well as a 1 month old can, and he hardly ever cries. THANK YOU JESUS for another good baby! I am finally starting to get into a routine and that is making everyone else happy too. Putting one more baby in the batch, makes for a hectic day. The kids are doing good with him. Trent was pretty clingy for about a week, and Taylor, well, she just didn't know about him. Trent is such a big help now though which is great. He just wants to love on him ALL the time, and tells him good morning and goodnight, and this morning was very upset because he "didn't get to see Tyson's eyes" before school.

I will say that I miss our family so much right now. With Trent, my mom was just next door, and she also kept him while I worked. I know it is hard for everyone to get away, and everyone calls and checks on us, which makes me feel good. We had help from nannie and papaw for a week, and my mom came and spent the next night, and brought food for a week. That was all so wonderful. Then my moms group brought us meals which lasted another week! Not having to cook helped so much!! Dan and the kids are suffering as I try and retrain myself to cook. It seems that after giving birth, I forgot how.

Trent loses a tooth!

Trent has had 2 loose bottom teeth for some time now. He was playing with his new Finn car and got the bright idea to pull the the wheel off with his mouth. He came running to me and that tooth was just hanging by a thread! Of course this was our first day home alone with nobody here with us since Tyson has arrived, and I knew I couldn't pull it! Turns out, I didn't need to. He wiggled it all day and was chewing a piece of gum when, Voila! The gum pulled it out. He was so big about it! But then he got upset and said it hurt. I had to explain to him that it wasn't pain, it just felt different because there was nothing there. The tooth fairy left a whopping $10 (just because it was the first tooth) He was so excited!

Tyson is 1 week!!

I took Tyson in for his 1 week check. His jaundice levels were a little high in the hospital. But they said he look great and his weight is coming back up, which made me happy. So at 1 week he was back up to 7lbs. 8 oz. This is still so weird to me, since both of our other kids were MUCH bigger than this at birth!! He is our little runt:-)

Welcome Baby Tyson

We welcomed baby Tyson on Wednesday morning, January 4th, at 7:28! He weighed 7lbs 13oz. and was 21 1/2 in. long. When I seen the doc on Tuesday, he decided to send me in that night to start induction.

My mom decided to wait and leave Wednesday morning to be there for the delivery because there was no need for her to come a sit there and wait. It was the same procedure as with Taylor so we were thinking later in the day on Wednesday. Well, she didn't make it!!! She missed the delivery by 6 minutes!!

Dan's parents brought Trent and Taylor to visit the little guy once Trent got out of school. They were both so excited to meet him. Taylor just wanted to give him a bottle and Trent just kissed all over him. I think they will both be a great big brother/sister.

Christmas 2011

Christmas this year was so much fun! Taylor is the perfcect age! We celebrated this year at home since I am so close to having Tyson. We didn't want to chance getting away from home and going into labor. We did alot of crafts, went to the tree farm, dropped our letters to santa in the BIG box downtown, and built a gingerbread house. Here are a few pics of that and then some of the kids playing...or sleeping, with there christmas toys.

Trent turns 6

I will start out by saying that I can't believe we are here. Six years, seems like we have been here for a lifetime, and yet still feels like yesterday we welcomed this awesome little boy into this huge world. He means the world to us and I look back alot at all the milestones that he has accomplished. Just pure amazing!

This year Trent decided he wanted to have an Incredible Hulk party. No big deal. WRONG!! I searched all party stores and any other stores that may possibly have the decorations. They didn't have them, and since I waited too long to place the order online, we were out of luck. Next up, Captain America! So I run to Wal-Mart, buy the party supplies. All except the for the piniata, which they didn't have. I thought, no big deal, I will just get  that over at the party store. WRONG!! They are discontinuing those party supplies! The piniata and pizza were the main things Trent wanted for the party! So I convinced him that we could do a batman piniata, and have a super hero party!

When the day was finished, he was thrilled. We had friends and family, pizza, cake, party bags, and we made a Captain America shield. Finally we broke the piniata and everyone was happy.
