Monster Jam

This week, Dan and I took Trent to see the Moster Jam! He loved it. Nana and papaw came to stay with Taylor, which Trent wasn't too happy about. It was nice going out and just making it about him. He made it clear that he would have liked to have stayed home by asking every 30 minutes if we could leave. LOL! He really did enjoy it though so that is all that matters.

We have had a very busy weekend while Dan was off, but you will have to wait a few weeks for more details on that!!! Just remember to keep checking weekly.

I took Taylor to the doctor for thrush this week. She has had it since Christmas and the medicine they were giving her just wasn't killing it off. So now they put her on something different, which she has to have a bath after she takes it because she spits it everywhere. If I did not know better, I would think she may be starting to cut a tooth. She is chewing on anything she can get her hands on. She is also pushing up with her legs more when we hold her up. I had her in the floor today and Trent was laying beside her, she was rubbing his hair. Not long and he will be screaming that she is pulling it!!

SUPERMARKET BOUND!!!!!

We were very busy last week. Monday and Tuesday I babysat and Wednesday we went to get donuts and then the library. This is something I think we will start doing every week, maybe not the donuts, even though I am sure Trent will ask if we can. Anyway they have story time and a craft. Trent really seemed to enjoy it. He got to cut and glue and ended up making a quilt out of paper. Anyway we checked out 5 books and now ready for some more!

Thursday we went to a friends house and Trent got to play with Clayton. He is about 6 months younger and I think it is good for Trent to play with kids around his own age! He really had a ball. When we got back we had a treasure hunt with read cups. That lasted a little over an hour. We had did something like this at the museum last week and he had so much fun.

Friday we went to my moms because Dan had so much work to get done. I had some coupons for dunkin donuts so we stopped and got a dozen to take and share. I had 2, we brought 2 home for Dan, and Trent had what I thought was 2. When we got to my moms, I got the donuts out to give them, and the tops were gone off all of them!!!! Seems there was a mouse in the box!!

Everyone knows that the game was on Sunday and Dan and I were talking about the super bowl. Trent overheard us talking about the game and said, "Yay mommy, I hope they go to the supermarket, I've never been there."LOL!!!!

Finally, little Taylor. I have been trying and trying to work with her on rolling over. Even from her belly to her back. NOPE!! She just lays down and sucks her fingers. Well on Saturday we were in the floor and she was holding my finger and pulled herself over from back to belly. YAY!!! Okay I helped a little. But you know she does have a lot of weight to flip there.

Childrens Museum

Well there is not too much to report this week. We did a whole lot of nothing. We went to the children's museum with some friends on Tuesday. It was Taylor's first visit and I finally talked Trent into riding the carousel. There is just so much to do there.

The weather has been in the low 40's and it is soo muddy where all the snow has melted. Trent got to play outside for a while at my mom's on Saturday while I took a coupon class. Needless to say, he had to wear his pajama's home because he was so muddy. Boys will be boys;-)

Miss Taylor still has not rolled over yet. She is almost 4 months old and when we do tummy time, she gets sooo mad and just screams (I leave her thinking she will get mad enough to flip) but she wears herself out and turns her head and goes to sleep. LOL. I guess she will just do it when she is ready.

Fun in the snow

This week, Taylor turned 3 months old. WOW! Time is going by so fast. Dan did her pics on Thursday. They turned out so cute. She still wakes up between 4 and 5:30 am for a feeding. We have even been giving her cereal in her last bottle, but doesnt seem to get her through until that 7:30 feeding. She is just all smiles and giggles. I had to get out all of her 3-6 clothes this week too. She had already been wearing a few things of that size.

So this week we got about 5 inches of very dry snow! No snowman though;-( Trent has been outside everyday so far playing in it. Yesterday, I looked out the back window to see Dan laying in the snow and Trent filling him up with gas. LOL. This was after Dan had pulled him around the block on the sled with his bike. Anyway, he really enjoyed shoveling the snow, playing with his shovel and bucket, and sliding into a pile of snow.

Trent and I went to see the Chipmunks movie at the theater on Friday. He loved it of course. Dan stayed home with Taylor because it has been too cold to get her out and he has been working on photography stuff and it is easier to do without so many interuptions. Trent discovered that he LOVED popcorn so we had to stop and get some more on the way home:-)

Also I got a picture of Trent this week while he was sleeping. He had got up from his nap and was mad, probably because he fell asleep, so he went back to him room on his own and ACCIDENTLY fell asleep half in his bed. This has NEVER happened. We usually have a really hard time getting him to stay in his bed, so I thought it was a cute pic to share.

the new addition

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It has been so cold here that we have not done too much. The kids and I went to pump it up this week (an inflatable party place) with the moms group. Trent had an absolute ball! Of course I took pictures with my phone so they were not too good. It snowed this week and Trent got to go sledding with daddy. Taylor and mommy had to stay in.
I guess the story of the week is about the new additions to the family! On New Years Day, Dan took Trent up to get his first pet, a fish. We had talked about it and thought it would be a good idea to get him something to take care of. SO, I thought they were leaving to get (a) fish and a fish (bowl). An hour later, they come home with 4 fish, a 10 gallon tank and a castle for the fish. Well, he was very excited!!! So now we have a fish for each of us. The names are Spot, Nemo, Smoke, and Boots.
The pictures this week are some from Christmas. Trent was so excited about his train table! Taylor got a little gym that she lays under and plays with. She was laying in it the other day and I looked over, she was kicking one of the toys that were hanging down over and over, she was just giggling! It is so funny how I am getting so excited when she does these little things. Anyway, hope you all have a good week and a great start to the new year.
