I can't believe it is this time already. Trent started school!! He was so excited! Me on the other hand....not so much. Dan and I were talking one day and we both still see that little boy that laid there in that tiny little hospital bed for a 7 days with all those horrible tubes! He has been so healthy since then!! We are truly blessed.
Anyway, the first morning of school I had to wake him up which was strange. He wanted pancakes for breakfast, and we had to brush teeth and get that hair spiked up! I have to say he looked so big. Dan and I both took him to school and I walked him in since they had to meet in the conference room and not their classroom. Once everyone got there, they called there names and everyone went with their teacher. Once his name was called, I turned around to walk away and the tears started rolling!
That day seemed to go very well. He was not scared, nor did he cry. Such a big man. Since there were only 3 days of school that week, I parked and walked him in so I knew that he knew where to go. He really wanted to be dropped off in the drop off line, so the next week of school, that's what I did. It is so cute because when he gets out and walks away, he turns around the whole time he is walking in to wave at me as I drive off. Let's see how long he stays excited about getting dropped off.
