Look at ME!!!

Well, the time finally came! Trent took off the training wheels. In all reality, this should have been done last year. Just the little things though, that make you say, "Wow, I can't believe he is that big." We are so proud of him, and he is just thrilled. I took this picture only after about 30 minutes of him riding. Dan took them off, he picked that bike up, at took off like he had been doing it for years! This happened Monday night, so every night Dan has come home from work, Trent needs "Daddy" to go on a bike ride with him. sniff sniff

Oh MYYY!!!
Let's just say today was a big day! Green pancakes, parade, and lots of playing outside. This morning I wanted to do something fun for breakfast so I made green pancakes. Trent was so excited and then when it came time to eat them, not so much. But that is no surprise with him.

After breakfast we hurried off, with daddy, to meet up with some friends for the St. Patrick's Day parade downtown. We went last year and Trent loved it. We met a few friends downtown which made him super happy! Taylor really enjoyed the parade too! She would just wave at the people and she would laugh when she saw something funny. 100% girl! We sat at a place that a grassy area behind us so the kids got to run around a for while and then had a little lunch before it started. They got lots of candy and beads!

Once we got home, of course we had to play outside since it was so nice warm. Two things about Trent this afternoon that he was sooooo excited about, 1) He opened his own cheese. Which many of you are thinking "big deal", but this is progress! There are alot of things Trent can do, but refuses because he is afraid it is gonna mess up! Like for example, take the clear rapper off the cheese because he ends up ripping it, then it's a major meltdown. Or even tearing the cheese apart in a lunchable because he tears a little piece because they are all stuck together. 2) He walked himself to the swing, and started swinging himself and kept himself going, for like an HOUR!!! He has known that if he pumps his legs that he will keep going for 2 years now, but what is the fun if mom will do it for you right. Anyway, he was very proud of himself and that's all that counts.

Jumpin' Bean

Trent has been trying to get Taylor to jump on her own for a while. Well, Friday night, she did it!! It was a big moment because we were all in the kitchen watching her. She was so proud of herself, it was too cute!! This was a big event, considering she would never sit in her jumperoo.

let's pretend

Last week was a super week for the kids. I have been researching kitchens for them, and a friend told me to check out the wood ones. I am so glad I did, because for the same price as the plastic ones, I found this wood one. I love it because its something I don't have to worry about them dragging all over the house. It is very sturdy and perfect for size. Taylor can grow into it, and Trent can get use out of it as well. NEVERMIND that it is pink;-) Give him some stainless steal pans and some toy food, Trent likes it just as well. LOL

I have been wanting to make Trent a batman cape since his birthday and I finally got around to it. Of course he loved it! He also picked up a little $5 pirate set at Walmart and has played with it for days.

Here are a few pics I thought I would share....

Playing outside makes for sleepy kiddo's

We are so happy for it to be getting nice out! This Saturday it was almost 60 and we enjoyed the day by playing outside, going for a bike ride, and cleaning up the yard! Taylor was an absolute mess because everything Trent did, she thought she could do as well. It is going to be a great summer I think.

A New Clubhouse, Flowers, and a Little Snow

Wow, February is over and we are zooming into March. I honestly cannot believe how fast the year is going. I know one thing for sure, and that is that I have been LOVING the few days of sunshine we have seen. I am ready for me some open windows, and playing out back. Well, enough of that weather stuff, because I am sure we will get a foot of snow next week, you know, right after the flowers start to bloom!

Last week we had a few things delivered to the house and the boxes were starting to pile up in the garage. Dan decided to make the kids a clubhouse. Let me just say that you think your kids will play with a box....make it 2 and add a little tape!!!! You will suddenly become a genius! They have been playing in it all week long! I have to admit, that I did try and get in the box, but 1. The door is just a bit to small, and 2. The kids did not like me trying to get in. And by kids, I mean Taylor!

Like I said, last we was busy, but the highlight for me......

FLOWERS!!!!! Some of you may be wondering what the occasion was? NOTHING!! They were JUST BECAUSE flowers. I must say that my husband is AMAZING. I know that most of us get caught up in everyday life, but it's times like these, that make you stop, and remember you are loved! I was so surprised I have to admit. I was actually on the phone to a friend when they were delivered. It was so funny because the doorbell rang, I go to the door, and there she was holding them. I believe I said, "Oh my god", took the flowers and shut the door!!!! I was in shock!! The poor lady hadn't even turned to leave and I slammed the door in her face. LOL!!!!
Last but definitely not least, Nannie and Papaw came to visit!! The kids were so happy to see them. They came in late Thursday night and woke up to......
SNOW!!! What else. That didn't stop them from having a great time. Trent took Nannie out to build a snowman! And they made a few snowballs too.

Dan and I took advantage of them coming and went out two different days, just shopping and hanging out. We wanted to go out to lunch, and were did we end up...Qudoba! LAME!!!! What can I say, we really didn't know what to do with ourselves. LOL!!
