Arkansas Trip

After our lake trip, the kids and I went back to nannies and Dan came home to work for a few days. He came back and is now off for 2 weeks!! It was very hot hot nannies. Like, in the 100's! Trent went swimming everyday we were there!

We also went to a birthday party while we were there. It was for Dan's cousins little boy Wade, and it was at chuck e cheese! Both kids had a blast! Thanks for putting up with us for so long nannie and papaw!

Lake Norfork trip

This year we went to Lake Norfork and we met Aunt Jen, Blake, Nannie and Papaw there. I will have to say that the 9 hour car ride was the BEST long distance ride with the kids we ever had. We left about 6 in the morning to get there. We went out on the boat for a bit then back to the cabin for dinner. The kids played with play-doh while everyone took showers and nannie fixed dinner.

Play-doh!!

4th of July

For the 4th, we stayed home and celebrated 2 days in a row with a cook-outs and fireworks. Here are a few pictures of the kids playing around getting ready for the main event. Every year, our neighbor has a HUGE fireworks show. It is very nice to be able to sit in your yard and enjoy something like that!

Record High temps in July

In July, Indianapolis beat it's record straight number of 90 degree days in a row. It was miserable! The kids spent alot of time swimming, or inside playing, watching movies, and EATING!

Bible School

In June, it was alot of playing in the pool, going to the park, and BIBLE SCHOOL! This was Trent's first time going to bible school and he loved it. It was during the morning so he kinda got a feel for what school is going to be like. Here is a picture of him and Madison as I was picking him up one day:-)

Must be May

Here I go trying to play catch-up! I think it is okay though because a few of the blogs that I follow have been slipping too during the summer! Summer just seems so busy and hectic. It is enough just getting the kids outside to play, bathed daily (since they get dirty outside), and dinner on the table.

May was when we planted the garden. We decided to put out 8 tomato plants, 4 cherry tomato plants, 2 jalapeno pepper plants, and 2 squash plants. Good thing we did 2 squash plants since only one came up. Our garden has done VERY well this year. Dan decided to do raised beds this time. Last year we just had a garden and it is was so dirty. I am very happy with the fact that there is less weeds.

I added a few pics of planting day, it was a family event. Taylor loves picking tomato's now too. Sometimes, they are green, but at least she is trying to help. LOL!
