Over the weekend the weather was still pretty nice so Dan took Trent out to fly his helicopters. Of course Taylor saw Trent and needed to go out to! One thing I have realized, there will be no playing in the front while Taylor is out. Her goal is to see how many times she can get to the road before I give myself a heart attack. Good thing we have a fenced in back yard for the little cheetah because she gets away really quick! LOL.
Trent has been loving having extra time to play outside. And I love the fact it was nice enough to get that scooter outta the house. "Once the wheels get dirty, the scooter cannot come back in." We have been warning him for a long time about it, and he didn't seem to have a problem with it. The first day we took it out, he got it on the side walk and quickly put it over to the side and said, "I don't know about this." I don't think he was expecting it to go so fast. He is used to his little three wheeled radio flyer scooter. LOL!
Taylor loves his tractor. So when she saw a chance to get on it because he wasn't looking, she was all over it. She was playing with the steering wheel and dumper on it and all of the sudden, WOA, she took off. Her legs are long enough for her feet to hit the peddles.
Taylor+scary things=LOVE. Mommy, not so much. Should be an interesting summer:-/

Finally Out and About
Once that ice began to thaw, WE WENT OUT!! A friend in the mom's circle had a cookie decorating play date! It was so nice to be around people! LOL. After cookies, Hillary broke out the potato for a good ole game of hot potato!
Later that day we had our library program that Trent always loves going too. This time he got to make a snowman and brought it home to dad! We stocked our library book bag full of books and headed home. Before leaving Trent always asks to go check out a movie and every time he pics baby Einstein! He has every movie made from baby Einstein so I guess there is just something about getting the ones from the library. Not to mention he is a little old to watch it, but hey, he likes it so we get it!
Later that week, Taylor and I went to do a little grocery shopping. She LOVES to shop! ALREADY!! You give her a bag of crackers and a cup of milk and she will just ride and smile the whole time. I think she just likes all the attention from everyone. So now every time you open up the coat closet, she is right behind you waiting to put on her coat! Ya gotta love a girl that likes to go!

Ice Storm 2011
Well, as everyone knows, we had an ice storm. I have never seen one like it! We had INCHES of ice that covered the roads, tree's, and basically anything else that is outside! Dan ended up staying in a hotel next to work because the night before, it took him over 2 hours to get home! That means......yep.....Kala at home with the kids!!!! They were ready to kill each other and I ran out of things for them to do about half way through the first day!!! I cranked the heat up, just in case electric went out, our house would be extra warm. haha! I also had plenty of snacks and sandwich stuff on hand just in case we couldn't cook. THANK THE LORD we didn' t lose power.
I wouldn't care if I never saw ice again! It almost makes me hate ice cubes! I love to go out, and just the fact of not being able to go somewhere if I wanted too, that just killed me. However, we all survived. Here are a few pics of the kids just hanging out while being trapped inside. Taylor discovered a love for sunglasses and Trent enjoyed watching some inspector gadget. I also took a few pics of the ice once it started.
